Hungry for language
 
I learned the language trade from scratch. Because I’ve always been hooked on language.
The charm of dialects, of idioms. The astounding complexity of the meaning of words and their fascinating etymologies – language is pure fun. My mother tongue is the Central German Saxon dialect which is fun(ny), too. Some people say the English language is not too far off. Well…

I’m especially fond of the English language because of its abundance – hardly any other language has such a rich vocabulary and provides one meanig of a word with at least two expressions - one of germanic and one of romanic origin. These are fun to play with, indeed. And dialects again – and sometimes language sounds like music…
